Several Las Vegas players may have roster tweaks

The Las Vegas Raiders’ new regime have a lot of work to do this offseason.

In addition to preparing for free agency and the draft, the team must look at the existing players under contract and how they fit. That means some veteran could face contract tweaks or restructuring. Yes, the Raiders are flush with a lot of salary-cap room (Over The Cap projects them to have $97 million in cap room), most teams look to restructure existing deals for various reasons.

Pro Football Network looked at some Las Vegas players who could be facing contract reworkings. Let’s take a look some of the findings by Pro Football Network:

  • Maxx Crosby: His cap number is $25.9 million with $16.9 million saved with a conventional restructure. The defensive end doesn’t have any guaranteed money remaining in his deal and that could be addressed in a restructure.
  • Kolton Miller: The left tackle’s cap number is $15.6 million going into the last year of his deal. If the team adds four voidable years or gives him an extension, $8.8 million can be saved on the cap.
  • Christian Wilkins: The defensive tackle’s cap number is $333.5 million. The Raiders can save $20.5 million with a conventional restructure or $21.9 million by adding a voidable year.
  • Jakobi Meyers: The wide receiver’s cap hit is $14.9 million. With one more year to go on his deal, the Raiders can $7.6 million with an extension,.

Quarterback Gardner Minshew and center Andre James are candidates to be cut because they lost their starting jobs in 2025, although James has a better chance of sticking in Las Vegas in 2025 than Minshew. James has a cap number of $8.7 million this season, while Minshew’s is $13.8 million.

Conclusion:

These are some of the key potential restructures for the Raiders if they choose so, but with so much cap room, the front office shouldn’t be overly pressed to make moves.
