Raiders News: President Dan Ventrelle ‘No Longer’ With Las Vegas Franchise

May 7, 2022 by Raiders Nation

The front office of the Las Vegas Raiders has been undergoing some unexpected changes lately, with little explanation for the moves. Just yesterday, Raiders chief operations and analytics officer Jeremy Aguero resigned, and now the team has suddenly announced that president Dan Ventrelle has left the organization, via a brief statement on Twitter:

Ventrelle had taken over as president in an interim capacity last season following the resignation of Marc Baidan last July. Following the 2021 season, Ventrelle was named the full-time president of the organization, but now he is gone, and the Raiders have given no reason for the move.

With this announcement following the resignation of Aguero after just seven months in the position, it will surely lead to a lot of speculation about issues happening within the Raiders behind closed doors. This also adds to the complete makeover inside the Raiders front office. The team parted ways with Mike Mayock earlier this offseason, hiring Dave Ziegler to take over as the team’s general manager.

This has been an offseason full of movement for the Raiders, with their on-field acquisitions of wide receiver Davante Adams and edge rusher Chandler Jones garnering a ton of praise. The team also signed quarterback Derek Carr to a big contract extension.

But this front office turnover, and the secrecy surrounding the announcements, is sure to bring about a lot of questions about what is really happening in Las Vegas.
