Packers cut standout, but oft injured cornerback
It appears Jaire Alexander’s talent is overriding his injury history in the eyes of Las Vegas Raiders fans.
After the Green Bay Packers released Alexander earlier this month, we asked our community members if they would like to see the Raiders sign Alexander.
In a poll with about 900 votes cast, 59 percent of the voters want to see Alexander end up with the Silver and Black while 41 percent think he is too injury prone to pursue.
While the Raiders’ coaching staff has praised their group of cornerbacks, the team could use another veteran presence and Alexander, 28, is intriguing. He is a top cornerback when healthy, but that has been an issue.
He has missed 10 games in each of the past two seasons. He missed just one game in 2022, but he missed 13 games in 2021. Still, it seems the fan base still see him as a worthwhile pursuit.
