Early returns on Brady’s ownership role are positive

It didn’t take long for longtime franchise adversary Tom Brady to start to to become a favorite of Las Vegas Raiders fans.

Brady, of course, became a minority owner of the Raiders late last year. While he isn’t always around the team, Brady, as recently explained by new Las Vegas head coach Pete Carroll, does have a role with the team and he often consults with Carroll about team matters.

We asked our community members how they felt the current working relationship Brady as with the team is working. A whopping 84 percent voted that they are satisfied how Brady’s role is working, while nine percent of the voters want him more involved and just seven percent want the legendary quarterback’s roll with the franchise to lessen.

So while the sting of the Tuck Rule will always be there, it seems Brady has been welcomed to the Silver and Black with open arms.

The Goat’s presence alone is turning this team from a loser to winner…It makes perfect sense!!!….Baaaaaahhhh…..LFG!!!

Tom Brady’s job was to do what Mark Davis couldn’t. That was taking the lead in hiring a GM and Coach.
Brady’s 20+ years as a top end QB and business person gave him enough experience to do a proper job of hiring a football GM and HC.
Beyond that, Brady is not a scout, he’s not a coach and he’s not a cap / contract professional.
He isn’t going to be coaching the QBs or being involved in game planning. He hired Spytek and Carroll for that.
Can a player lean on Brady for some advice? Sure. Geno talked about his conversation with Brady in the run up to getting signed, but Spytek and Carroll made the decision to bring Geno in. O’Connell reportedly watched tape with Brady. That tape review was probably invaluable, but that won’t decide if he stays on the team or not.
Plus, Brady appears to be a busy person with a lot going on. A coach, a scout or a GM job is a 70 – 80 hour a week job. Brady lending advice makes sense., but that’s about it.

Does his role with the Raiders get him off of my TV on Sunday’s? If yes, take on more of a role with the Raiders please! If no, keep at it and maybe he will be ok on TV someday, just don’t let him call Raiders or Cardinals or Titans games too often.
