Raiders EDGE Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa named among top UDFA fits

The Raiders did not have a ton of picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, but they made up for it with a strong undrafted free agent class. They signed several of the best undrafted free agents, including Notre Dame pass rusher Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa.

In a recent article by Nick Baumgardner from The Athletic, he named the best undrafted free agent fits for every single team. For the Raiders, that was none other than Tagovailoa-Amosa. Here is what Baumgardner had to say about this free-agent signing for the Raiders:

“Tua Tagovailoa’s cousin, Tagovailoa-Amosa got off to a slow start at ND after a foot injury during his sophomore season. But he found a way back, earning a team captain nod as a full-time starter in 2021 who played with all sorts of effort. Good on the edge, never stops working and chopping with his hands.”

Tagovailoa-Amosa has fantastic size at 6’2, 270 pounds and has experience playing both defensive tackle and defensive end. His best position will likely be a base defensive end in the NFL, where he can use his size and length to help stop the run.

He’s also one of the most experienced players in the class, appearing in 50 games for Notre Dame over the last five years. He has also played a bunch of special teams, which gives him an even better chance of making the roster.

Time will tell if Tagovailoa-Amosa can make the roster for the Raiders. But given his size, production and experience, he’s got a pretty good chance.
