What to expect with Friday’s picks
It was a great start to the 2025 NFL draft for the Las Vegas Raiders as they took Boise State star running back Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 overall draft pick.
Now, it’s time to focus on the second and third rounds. So, here’s a Friday mock draft:
Second round
No. 37 pick, Trey Amos, cornerback, Mississippi:
This would be a great value pick. Some thought Amos would be a late first-round pick. The Raiders have areal need at the positron, he’d be be a solid fit. Shavon Revel could be the pick as well, but I think eh goes off the board sooner.
Third round
No. 68 pick, Aireontae Ersey, tackle, Minnesota:
The Raiders considered taking a tackle in the first round and they get a solid prospect in the third round in Ersey. He’d be a solid value and someone who could compete to start soon.
