Golf fans everywhere are anxiously awaiting Tiger Woods’ decision on the 2022 Masters.
Earlier this week, the five-time Masters champion reportedly played an 18-hole practice round at Augusta National as he eyes a potential return to competitive golf. The World Golf Hall of Famer hasn’t played in a PGA Tour event since he sustained major leg injuries in a car crash just over one year ago.
As his ultimate decision continues to loom, former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning gave an update on Tiger’s current status.
Manning and Woods teamed up to take down Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson in “The Match” back in 2020.
“I actually texted him the other day after reading about him playing the practice round there and asked him how he liked the changes on the 11th hole and 15th hole… He didn’t give me any special insight… but he sounds good. I’ve always kept up with Tiger and I can just tell his spirits are good, so hopefully that leads to a big announcement,” Manning said during an appearance with In The Drop Zone on Friday.

Given the severity of his injuries and quick turnaround time, no one would fault Tiger if he’s unable to take the course for the event he most recently won in 2019.
That being said, golf fans everywhere would no doubt be thrilled to see the all-time great back on the course for the biggest golf event of the year.
Round 1 of the 2022 Masters will tee off on Thursday, April 7.
