The New York Giants have put themselves in an odd position. They currently have no general manager, yet Joe Judge is still their head coach.
During this Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning Football, NFL Network’s Peter Schrager had an update on the Giants’ situation.
Schrager made it clear that Giants head coach Joe Judge will not decide who replaces Dave Gettleman as general manager.
“Joe Judge is not deciding who the general manager is. The general manager will be hired, and then they will decide what the future is at that point,” Schrager said. “And it’s not just going to be a Giants hire from within. They’re casting a wide net, and I assume more names will be brought in as well.”

The Giants have been fairly busy over the past 24 hours. They already requested an interview with Arizona Cardinals vice president of pro personnel Adrian Wilson.
Additionally, the Giants have requested an interview with Cardinals vice president of player personnel Quentin Harris.
The Giants’ list of candidates grew this afternoon, as they requested interviews with San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters and director of player personnel Ran Carthon.
