After trading all-world wide receiver Davante Adams to the Raiders, the Green Bay Packers have an opening in their receivers room. NFL analyst Peter Schrager has some ideas on who can replace him.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Schrager suggested two big name receivers the Packers can pursue. He suggested that they either contact the Seattle Seahawks about D.K. Metcalf or the Los Angeles Rams about Robert Woods.
“If I was Green Bay I’d be calling Seattle about DK Metcalf or the Rams about Robert Woods,” Schrager said.
Schrager also suggested the Packers see if Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen is available. He pointed out that Allen may be too expensive to keep after the big deal that Mike Williams just received.
But Metcalf and Woods are the ones that really stick out to him.

As it stands right now, the Green Bay Packers’ receiving corps consists of Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Amari Rodgers, Malik Taylor and Juwaan Renfree. While Aaron Rodgers can make any wide receiver good, it’s not exactly a group that inspires fear in the hearts of opposing defensive coordinators.
But given that Rodgers’ situation in Green Bay beyond 2022 still remains uncertain, you would think the Packers would go all-in on pursuing free agents.
Would either of the wide receiver Schrager suggested be a good fit for the Packers?
