Duke forward Paolo Banchero was one of the nation’s best college basketball players this past season. But despite leading the Blue Devils to the Final Four, he’s far from satisfied.
Taking to Twitter this afternoon, Banchero lamented that the season is already over. He said that he’s “sick all over” and feels that the season went by too quickly.
“Duke nation i’m still sick that it’s all over, season went by too fast,” Banchero wrote.
Banchero is expected to leave Duke and enter his name in the NBA Draft, where he is likely to go early in the first round. That would end his college playing career after just one – albeit prolific – year at Duke.

The former five-star prospect averaged 17.2 points and 7.8 rebounds assists per game, leading the team in both categories. He earned tons of regular season accolades including consensus All-American, ACC Rookie of the Year, First-Team All-ACC, and ACC All-Rookie Team honors.
Paolo Banchero saved some of his best performances for the NCAA Tournament though. He averaged 18.8 points over five games, that included two double-doubles and a 22-point performance against Texas Tech in the Sweet 16.
Duke fans are already taking to Banchero’s replies and begging him to return for a sophomore season. We’ll find out in the days to come whether he will take their advice or not.
Will Paolo Banchero return to Duke next year?
