The Tampa Bay Buccaneers began their off-season workout program on Monday. However, the team’s MVP wasn’t in attendance.
Tom Brady is the only Buccaneers quarterback who didn’t attend Monday’s workout.
It’s worth noting these workouts are voluntary. Sometimes veterans – like Brady – have their own personal conditioning program or simply don’t feel obligated to attend.
In other words, there’s probably no reason to panic. But it’s notable all the other Buccaneers quarterbacks – including Kyle Trask, Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin – were there.
“#Bucs began Phase 1 of their off-season workout program today. Based on the team’s B roll and our reporting, the only QB not attending the start of voluntary conditioning workouts was Tom Brady,” said Rick Stroud. “Kyle Trask, Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin all attended Monday.”

Again, this could be absolutely nothing, but it’s still noteworthy.
If you really want to delve into the conspiracy theories, look no further than the rumors about Tom Brady and the Dolphins.
Word on the street is Brady was set to become a minority owner in Miami following his retirement. That would have opened the door for the Dolphins to later acquire him in a trade with Tampa Bay. The rug was pulled out from under him when Brian Flores filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL franchise.
If the rumors are true, Brady wanted to play for the Dolphins this upcoming season. But he’s still stuck in Tampa Bay.
Perhaps that’s why Brady isn’t attending off-season workouts. But it’s far more likely he simply isn’t even asked to go considering his age. It’s not like he has anything to prove anymore.
