Sophomore wide receiver Agiye Hall was recently removed from the Alabama Crimson Tide football roster.
Nick Saban was asked about Hall’s absence during a spring practice press conference on Wednesday. The head coach revealed that the young wideout has been suspended for violation of team rules.
“He is suspended from the team for violations of some team rules, whether they’re academic or whatever, it doesn’t really matter,” Saban said, per Crimson Tide insider Mike Rodak of AL.com. “Everybody has a responsibility and obligation to respect the principles and values [of the program] and do what they need to do — they’re all there to help them be more successful, so to respect those and do those is always really helpful.”

When asked if Hall can do anything to earn his way back onto the roster, Saban indicated that he’d already been given the opportunity to do so.
This suspension could be permanent.
“He’s already had that opportunity once, so I don’t know what his plans are for the future,” Saban said.
Hall was removed from the team’s online roster on Tuesday. The former top-50 recruit took to Twitter to react to a report that indicated he was no longer with the team altogether.
“News to me, but [for sure],” he wrote.

Despite coming into Tuscaloosa as a four-star recruit and No. 5 wide receiver in the 2021 class, Hall notched limited playing time under Saban this past season. Through three game appearances, he logged just four receptions for 72 yards.
The Crimson Tide are losing Jameson Williams and John Metchie III to the NFL draft this offseason, opening up some increased opportunities for Hall is he were to take the field in 2022.
