NFL World Reacts To The Terrell Owens News

August 19, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Terrell Owens being inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

Terrell Owens hasn’t played for an NFL team since 2012, but the Hall of Famer still believes he has what it takes to compete at the professional level.

During an appearance on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, Owens had a message for anyone who thinks his playing days are long gone.

“No doubt, There’s only one me. I can do what people never expect,” Owens said. “I can still play. Who’s to say what I can and can’t do. You can’t speak for me on how my body feels. If anybody can do it, I can do it.”

The odds of Owens returning to the NFL are awfully slim, but he’s still in great shape and clearly feels like he can handle the physical toll the game takes on a player.

Terrell Owens was just on @GMFB with us. 47-years-old and 11 years removed from his last NFL snap. He wants to still play.

The majority of the NFL world would love to see Owens back in action. His best days are undoubtedly behind him, but he’s so charismatic that he would bring another layer of excitement to the league.

As for where he could hypothetically play this season, fans are linking Owens to the Jacksonville Jaguars. That’s because they already gave Tim Tebow a shot to play tight end this offseason.

“Urban brought in Tim Tebow might as well bring in Terrell Owens,” an NFL fan tweeted.

Even if we never get to see Owens on an NFL field ever again, he’ll finish his career with 1,078 receptions for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns. Those are extremely impressive numbers.

Would you want to see Terrell Owens back in the NFL?
