Dak Prescott made his way back from his devastating 2020 leg injury only to deal with another injury at training camp in 2021.
The Dallas Cowboys star quarterback, who signed a $160 million extension this offseason, has been dealing with a shoulder injury in training camp. Prescott has had soreness in his throwing shoulder and was shut down for parts of camp.
Thankfully, the latest MRI results for Prescott were clean.
The MRI reportedly showed that Prescott’s shoulder is healing well.

Cowboys fans are excited by the news, though many want the team to rely more on the running game anyway.
“Cowboys need to go back to that 2016 game plan. Let a healthy zeke and that healthy O line dominate and wear teams down, play bend not break defense (due to the lack of playmakers on D) and let dak warm up / open up as the season progresses,” one fan suggested.
Other fans joked about the overreaction to the injury news in the first place.
“Impossible, I was told the fact that he got a second MRI meant he was going to miss the whole season,” one fan added.
There are still some worrying, though, including a former Cowboys star.
“When I was there at camp, he was throwing the ball back to the guy that was snapping it to him with his left hand,” Michael Irvin told TMZ Sports.
“It only takes that little wave with the right hand to throw the ball two yards, and I was like, ‘Oh, no. Oh, no.’”
Irvin added: “You don’t stay out this long with something this minor at that position when you had all of last year off.”
While Prescott’s shoulder injury might have been more serious than initially suggested, it sounds like everything is on the right track.
The Cowboys will open the 2021 regular season on Thursday, Sept. 9 against the Buccaneers. Hopefully Prescott will be at 100 percent by kickoff in that one.
