August 29, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Ravens running back JK Dobbins flexes during a game.

Baltimore Ravens fans woke up to some crushing injury news about JK Dobbins on Sunday.

The former Ohio State Buckeyes standout is expected to miss the season with a knee injury. Dobbins left Saturday night’s preseason game with a serious injury.

ESPN is reporting that Dobbins is expected to miss the entire season:

“J.K. Dobbins currently is undergoing his MRI, but the expectation going in was that he had suffered a season-ending knee injury,” ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted.

Injury news is always crushing, but it’s especially crushing right before the start of the regular season.

J.K Dobbins expected to miss the nfl season as they fear he has a torn acl. Preseason season ending injuries are the absolute worst.

The Ravens are definitely going to miss JK Dobbins.

BUT…

The entire league should be terrified of Gus Edwards getting 250-300 touches.

With the injury news to JK Dobbins, it is worth noting that the #Ravens brought in free agent RB Todd Gurley for a visit back in June. Gus Edwards and Ty’Son Williams are currently the top two backs in Baltimore.

JK Dobbins is why I refuse to conduct a fantasy football draft until preseason is 100% over.

Ravens wide receiver James Proche was especially crushed by the news.

“That one hurts, bro, because you know how much work he put in [and] the type of guy he is,” Proche said. “He loves the game. Any time a game is taken away from a dude like, you really feel for him.”

The Ravens are scheduled to open the regular season on Monday, Sept. 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. E.T. on ESPN.
