Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been active on social media today, responding to a number of narratives about him.
One of the subjects Murray addressed was the possibility of him leaving the Cardinals. Arizona has yet to offer Murray the contract extension he is looking for, fueling speculation that he could ask for a trade at some point.
That’s not in the cards though, Murray said (no pun intended). The 2019 No. 1 overall pick stated clearly that he wants to remain in the desert.
“I wanna win Super Bowl with the Cardinals, AZ is home,” Murray said in response to commentary from former Cardinals star Patrick Peterson suggesting that the two-time Pro Bowler might want out.
Of course, we’ve seen plenty of examples of players and teams saying one thing and doing another, so it’s possible Murray could request a trade even after tweeting this. Cardinals fans are trying not to think about that potential scenario though.

The 2022 NFL Draft begins one week from today. There had been a report that Murray and his camp set that as a deadline for an extension, so it will be worth monitoring things over the next several days.
For what it’s worth, the Cardinals have made it clear they don’t want to trade Murray. Stay tuned.
