On Friday night, ESPN insider Adam Schefter issued a concerning report regarding Dak Prescott during last night’s halftime show for the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs game.
Dallas Cowboys fans woke up to news that Prescott’s injury might last into the regular season. During ESPN’s broadcast, Schefter said “He’s not fully back, he may not be back all season long.”
So far during training camp, the Cowboys have managed Prescott’s reps, hoping he’ll heal up in time for the regular season. Unfortunately, according to Schefter’s report, it sounds like that might not happen at all.
Of course, fans weren’t exactly excited to hear the news about the Cowboys star quarterback last night.
Here’s some of the reaction from around social media.

Earlier this week, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy offered his own account of Prescott’s injury.
“To be honest with you, we’re just trusting the training staff on this one. They’re counting every throw,” McCarthy said. “This is a volume regulation, endurance. There’s a big-picture outlook to this. He’ll definitely be involved in some form of practice more than this week. To stand here and tell you he’d be full go and take all the reps, I’m not there yet.”
Hopefully these reports are just being cautious and Prescott will be able to make it through the entire season.
