The Detroit Lions will be the NFL team featured on the HBO hit docuseries Hard Knocks, set to release during the summer.
Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions will chronicle all of the leadup to the 2022 NFL season. The docuseries has won multiple awards and is considered one of the premier reality shows for gridiron football.
Many fanbases often see Hard Knocks as a punishment, rather than a reward. The HBO cameras are often seen as a distraction that takes away from their preparation.
That hasn’t been the case for the Lions today though. Lions fans are flocking to Twitter expressing how happy they are that their team will be featured. Some are looking forward to seeing second-year head coach Dan Campbell while others are hopeful it will excite fans for the coming season:
Hard Knocks is about to make the whole country fall in love with the Lions. They’ll finally get to see what we see in this coaching staff beyond the whole knee biting thing.

The Detroit Lions got their 2021 campaign off to a rough start with eight straight losses. Four of those losses were decided by just one score.
They avoided becoming the first team to go 0-17 with a tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10. The Lions finally got their first win of the season on a last-second touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings a few weeks later.
Detroit finished the season 3-13-1 with the worst record in the NFC. But they received wide praise for playing hard for head coach Dan Campbell along the way.
Will the Detroit Lions be a fun team to watch on Hard Knocks this year?
