NFL World Pays Tribute To Gary Brown On Sunday Night

The football world is paying tribute to Gary Brown on Sunday night.

Brown, a former Penn State star who played in the National Football League before getting into coaching, died on Sunday night following a battle with cancer. He was 52 years old.

“Former Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown passed away today in Pennsylvania following latest battle with cancer. He was 52. Just as he lived, Brown fought with an incredible spirit. He spent seven seasons in Dallas, including the first four of Ezekiel Elliott’s NFL career,” Cowboys reporter Michael Gehlken tweeted.

Brown starred at Penn State before playing in the NFL. He got into coaching at the college level following his playing career. Brown made his way up to the NFL level, where he coached the Dallas Cowboys running backs from 2013-19.

Former Dallas Cowboys running back coach Gary Brown, who spent this past year coaching running backs at Wisconsin, passed away tonight. He was in hospice for the last couple of weeks at in hometown in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Brown was a star running back at Penn State. RIP
