Over his first three NFL seasons, Eagles running back Miles Sanders has already established himself as one of the more dynamic backs in the game. But, he knows this next season could be his biggest yet.
“I’ve still got a lot to prove,” Sanders told profootballnetwork.com.
Saying, “A lot of people don’t respect all the work I’ve done, and I’ve still got a lot to prove. I’m taking it real personal this year. Just find a way to get noticed and command the respect. I’m not taking no for an answer this year. Just stay healthy; just be available. That’s my main goal this year.”

Entering the final year of his four-year rookie contract, Sanders is coming off an injury-plagued 2021 in which he missed five games. Leading to his fewest touches, yards and for the first time ever, zero scores.
Sanders has gained 5.1 yards a clip since entering the NFL, the eighth most in the league over that span for backs with at least 500 carries. But Eagles GM Howie Roseman knows there’s more Sanders can unlock.
“Miles is a heck of a player, heck of a person,” Roseman said at February’s Combine. “We haven’t even seen everything Miles can give this team. Obviously, he’s been really productive. I know he wants to get in the end zone, as well, but I think the best is yet to come from Miles.”

Sanders has been putting in the work to be the best back he can be and cash-in next offseason.
“I want to be the best,” Sanders said. “That’s what I train to be. I want to be the best, period. I exhaust myself working hard to try to get to that point. I’m taking it a little more personal this year.”
