The New York Giants may be without starting quarterback Daniel Jones for Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jones has picked up an ankle sprain this week and is now in doubt for Sunday’s game. Jones was already limited with a hamstring injury that sidelined him in the fourth quarter of Week 14.
If Jones is ultimately ruled out, backup Colt McCoy will get the start against Cleveland. McCoy got his first start of the season in Week 13 when he led the Giants to a stunning upset of the Seattle Seahawks.
Jones returned in Week 14, but was unable to get the offense going against the Arizona Cardinals this past week. He went just 11 of 21 for 127 yards and was sacked six times before getting injured.

The New York Giants’ playoff hopes are still alive at 5-8. But their final three games will be a grueling gauntlet with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys.
Fortunately for them, two of those games are at home and none will make them leave the east coast. But it’s still going to be a challenge to beat two of the AFC’s best teams, and a Cowboys team that is battling just as hard as they are.
The Giants have exceeded expectations from earlier this season by playing this wellthis late in the year. Week 15 will be another big test as to how well Joe Judge can navigate the team through adversity.
