After three seasons in Green Bay, Packers defensive back Chandon Sullivan jumped to the rival Vikings on a one-year deal.
The hatred runs deep in the storied NFC North rivalry; and in a conversation with the St. Paul Pioneer Press‘ Chris Tomasson, Sullivan revealed that he’s received accusations of treason from diehard Cheeseheads.
“Some fans say I’m a traitor but they’ve got to understand, we don’t pick ourselves, the GM [does],” Sullivan explained. Admitting, “[The comments] are kind of funny, but it comes with the territory.”

Sullivan was picked up by the Packers after one season in Philadelphia. But, like the DB said, if Green Bay’s GM wanted to keep him in Wisconsin, then the team could’ve done more than extend an RFA tender.
At the end of the day the NFL is a business. And teams and players will do what’s in their best interest, as they see fit.
For Sullivan, that means a reunion with former Packers defensive coach Mike Pettine, who now calls the Vikings home. The 25-year-old describes himself as “a versatile player.”

Telling the Pioneer Press, “I’m the man for the job. They’re still trying to decide. We’re going to see how the rest of free agency and how the draft goes.”
The newest Viking went undrafted out of Georgia State back in 2018. But he’s since a valuable contributor on the backend.
