Earlier this afternoon, one Boston reporter made headlines for his prediction for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
Dale Arnold of NESN said that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Brady plays for a new team this season. Arnold suggested the Miami Dolphins are “working” on a trade for the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
“Would not be surprised if @TomBrady didn’t play for @Buccaneers next season. Try a little further South,” he said on Twitter.
It didn’t take long for fans and analyst to start reacting to the news. Needless to say not everyone is buying what the report is trying to sell.
Yeah, I’m sure @TomBrady told all of his Bucs teammates to come back for another run and recruited @GageRussell and specifically said ‘Tampa Bay’ in his return announcement all so he could…play for Miami instead, lol,” one analyst said.

Even Dolphins fans aren’t sure what to make of the news.
“Okay this offseason is starting to get out of hand,” one fan said.

The Dolphins just traded for star wide receiver Tyreek Hill. In doing so, the team gave up three of its top four picks in the 2022 NFL draft.
As such, the team doesn’t have much left to trade – other than players or future picks.
Seeing Brady traded would be an absolute stunner, even with the wild offseason the NFL has already produced.
