Kyrie Irving threw a pretty lofty accusation at Portland Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little on Monday night.
During Monday’s Nets-Blazers game, Little dove for a ball which just so happened to trip up Irving in the process. The Nets guard suffered a sprained ankle because of the play.
He proceeded to call Little’s actions “unnecessary” and implied it was a dirty play.
“Here is the diving play by Nassir Little that Kyrie Irving felt was ‘unnecessary,’” wrote Nets beat writer Dave Early. “Irving rolled his left ankle but finished the game and said he’ll be available for Chicago.”

Nassir Little has since responded to Kyrie Irving’s accusation.
Here’s what he had to say:
“I would never hurt someone on purpose, I have the utmost respect for Kyrie! But y’all are delusional if you think this is a bad play, and id do it again,” Little said. “Idgaf what y’all talkin about.”

Nassir Little was making a play on the basketball. This whole ordeal has been a bit blown out of proportion.
What Little did is praised at every level of basketball. It was an effort play and is often praised, especially at a young age.
Luckily, it doesn’t sound like Kyrie Irving will miss any time because of his sprained ankle.
