Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was one of likely a select few around the Steelers who fell asleep towards the end of the Chargers-Raiders game.
Tomlin said during his press conference that he dozed off towards the end not knowing how close the game got.
“I’m probably better off not having watched it,” Tomlin said.
Mike Tomlin admits that he “dozed off” at the end of the #Chargers–#Raiders game. Knowing now how close it got, and that a tie would’ve kept his #Steelers home and out of the playoffs, he jokes, “I’m probably better off not having watched it.”

Tomlin likely saved himself from going nuts towards the end of that game.
The Chargers erased a 15-point deficit with five minutes left in the fourth quarter and converted six fourth downs during that time. The game went into overtime when the Chargers converted another fourth down in their attempt to tie the game.
After the game was tied again, the Raiders drove down the field and got 10 yards on a third-and-four to set up the game-winning attempt. Daniel Carlson made sure not to miss from 47 yards out and sent the Steelers to the playoffs.
The Steelers are now getting ready for a rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs from a few weeks ago. Pittsburgh lost by 26 in that matchup at Arrowhead and is already a double-digit underdog going into this one.
Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Sunday night.
