The last thing you want to see on the final day of the NBA’s regular season is a injury to one of the league’s best players, but that’s what happened on Sunday night.
Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic left Sunday night’s game with a lower-leg injury. Doncic was holding his calf before getting helped off the floor and into the locker room.

Mavericks fans are understandably concerned. However, according to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, there’s optimism that the injury isn’t a serious one.
“There’s initial optimism that Dallas star Luka Doncic hasn’t suffered a significant injury, source tells ESPN. Team is calling it a strained left calf,” the longtime NBA insider tweeted.
