Look: Video Of Lakers Fans Leaving Loss Going Viral

April 4, 2022 by The Spun

The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t mathematically out of the playoffs, but by the way their fans responded to their recent loss, it certainly feels like they are.

LA lost to the Denver Nuggets today, 129-118. But the fans at Staples Center didn’t need to wait until the final buzzer rang to start heading for the exit.

In a clip that is quickly going viral, hundreds of fans can be seen leaving their seats and making their way out. About the only people left in the clip are Nuggets fans and Lakers fans not concerned about the traffic.

It’s pretty understandable that fans would be so opposed to staying until the end. With their loss the Lakers drop to 31-47 on the season.

If the San Antonio Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers tonight (San Antonio is favored by 15.5), the Lakers will be two games out of the final play-in spot with just four games to go.

Unfortunately, the Los Angeles Lakers fanbase is going to find much sympathy from the other 29 NBA franchises. The comments to this video and others like are filled to the brim with other fans dissing their franchise:

“Y’all don’t get to do this. Y’all had people leaving & running to get back into a Finals game,” one Boston fan wrote.

“What will Stephen A have hot takes about during the playoffs without LeBron? He might have to talk about small market teams,” wrote another.

“Surprised they didn’t leave earlier…” a third wrote.

It’s been a rough year for the Lakers. Unless they turn it around quickly, the offseason might be even rougher…
