Even if Stewart Cink doesn’t make the cut at Augusta National, he created a Masters moment he’ll cherish forever on Friday.
On the 16th hole, Cink nailed a hole-in-one on the par-3 16th hole. The ball took its time rolling into the hole, creating a dramatic moment as Jim Nantz yelled, “Don’t you dare stop.”
Cink celebrated with his son, Reagan, who’s serving as his caddy.

Despite the remarkable shot, Cink remains 3-over on the day and 7-over throughout the Masters. Tied with four other golfers for 64th near the end of Friday, he’s unlikely to make the weekend cut.
It’s nevertheless an unforgettable moment for the 48-year-old, who entered Georgia ranked 71st in the PGA Tour. The 2009 Open Championship winner may not leave Augusta with a Green Jacket, but he’ll receive a crystal bowl to commemorate his hole-in-one.
According to the Masters Tournament’s site, Cink became the 24th person to sink a hole-in-one on the 16th hole.
