Earlier Saturday afternoon, the Michigan Wolverines played their spring game in front of a live television audience.
The hosted a special guest as their honorary captain for the game. Head coach Jim Harbaugh welcomed back his former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to Ann Arbor.
He also put on a show for NFL scouts during halftime of the spring game. He completed a 15-minute workout for scouts and looked good in the process.
Kaepernick wasn’t the only big name in the building, though. Oscar-winning director Spike Lee was also there and he had a special message for Harbaugh.
“Special LOVE Shoutout To COACH HARBAUGH For Selecting COLIN KAEPERNICK To Be The Honorary Captain Of The University Of Michigan Maize Vs Blue Spring Game,” Lee said. “At Halftime Coach Harbaugh Ran A Workout For KAP Throwing To Receivers.”

Harbaugh certainly did his former quarterback a favor by allowing him to complete a workout in front of NFL scouts during the spring game. Otherwise, Kaepernick may have had a tough time getting in front of NFL teams.
We’ll have to wait and see if his workout was enough to entice a team to sign him.
