For football fans, the preseason means a chance to finally watch their favorite teams after months away from the game.
It also means the return of one of the best annual documentary-style events in sports. HBO’s “Hard Knocks” has captured the attention of football fans for years thanks to its inside look at the locker room.
This year’s show features the Dallas Cowboys and there are plenty of people paying attention. Count Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James among them.
In fact, LeBron thinks the NBA should do a similar show during training camp and preseason.
“Man watching Hard Knocks! Incredible show man!! Every time I watch it I wish we had that as well. Just for training camp/pre season too! So [fire emojis],” LeBron said.

It certainly would be interesting to follow along with the biggest names in the sport as the NBA’s regular season draws near.
One of the advantages the NFL would have over an NBA-style show is the sheer size of the roster. There are more players to focus on, and thus, more content for the show to use.
Which team would be the focus of the show?
