Justin Verlander is back on the mound.
The future Hall of Famer is starting for the Houston Astros against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night. It’s Verander’s first start since missing serious time in 2020 and ’21 due to injury.
Now, Verlander is back on the bump – and he’s looking as good as ever.
It was three up, three down for Verlander in the first – including a strikeout of the reigning American League MVP, Shohei Ohtani.
Verlander’s wife, Kate Upton, is certainly very proud tonight. Upton, a superstar in her own right, is perhaps best known for her time with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
