The New England Patriots aren’t the only AFC team that had a special guest at practice this week. On Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars had an NFL legend in attendance for their practice session.
ESPN reporter Michael DiRocco shared a photo of former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees at the Jaguars’ practice this afternoon.
Brees announced his retirement earlier this year. He’ll be spending this fall as a broadcaster for NBC Sports.
Over the past few weeks, Brees has visited a handful of NFL facilities. We’ve already seen him work with several young quarterbacks, such as Justin Herbert and Trey Lance. Perhaps he’ll give Trevor Lawrence a few pointers this afternoon.
Here’s the photo of Brees on the Jaguars’ practice field:

The timing of Brees’ visit to Jacksonville is quite interesting. Earlier this week, the Jaguars lost to the Saints in their second preseason game.
Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer wasn’t pleased with the first-team offense’s performance against the Saints. However, he did vow that things will get better.
“We just have to get to work,” Meyer told reporters. “There’s no secret sauce other than we’re going to go out and keep working and get a little better.”
Maybe the Jaguars’ offense will learn a thing or two from Brees this Thursday. After all, he’s one of the most prolific passers the game has ever seen.
