Losing a player in free agency hurts. Losing a free agent to a divisional rival stings even more.
The Green Bay Packers have reportedly lost free-agent wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown to a NFC North rival.
St. Brown is signing a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, per a report. He should have a much bigger role in Chicago than he did in Green Bay.
Can confirm Equanimeous St. Brown is signing with the Chicago Bears, as @TheAthletic reported. St. Brown, a former sixth-round pick, struggled staying on the field but showed promise when healthy. The #Packers‘ WR position keeps getting thinner.

The Packers are in serious need of depth at the wide receiver position. They have to address the position in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Green Bay also has to get things worked out with superstar wideout Davante Adams. The Packers placed him on the franchise tag ahead of the Mar. 8 deadline. However, Adams has since informed the organization he won’t play on the tag.
That means the Packers have until July 15 to strike a deal with Adams. If they can’t he’ll remain on the franchise tag. It’s unclear if he’d even show up to training camp if that was the case.
Look for the Packers to explore other free-agent receiver options. They have to add some depth after losing St. Brown to the Bears.
