Somebody decided to have a little fun with sign-making at tonight’s national championship game between North Carolina and Kansas.
During the halftime show on TBS, fans at home were able to catch a glimpse of someone holding up a “Birds Aren’t Real” sign behind the studio crew.
If you’re unfamiliar, “Birds Aren’t Real” is a satirical conspiracy theory that claims birds are not actually animals but are government drones used to spy on people.

If you’re looking for a place to make your fake conspiracy theory go even more viral than it already has, you could do a lot worse than a national championship game featuring two of the most prominent programs in men’s college basketball.
As for the action on the court, UNC dominated the first half and led Kansas 40-25 at intermission. However, things have flipped in the second half, with the Jayhawks starting off on a 20-6 run to cut the Tar Heels’ lead to 1 with 12:41 to play.
Catch the rest of the action on TBS.
