The Deshaun Watson decision should be coming soon and that means Matt Ryan could be out in Atlanta.
Of course, that all comes down to whether Watson chooses the Falcons as his next team. They’re seen as a finalist for Watson as he’s from the Atlanta area and he also hasn’t told them no yet.
If Ryan does go on the block, he’ll have plenty of suitors. ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky thinks that Ryan will go to the Browns if he’s traded since Baker Mayfield is likely on his way out.
“My mind immediately goes to two teams (for Matt Ryan),” Orlovsky said. “My first thought was that I was going to put him on the Indianapolis Colts. The problem is, I think Ryan is going to demand some value of a first-round pick. The Colts don’t have a first-round pick because they gave it to Philadelphia last year for Carson Wentz. I’m going to put Ryan on the Cleveland Browns. He fits their system.”

This would make a lot of sense for the Browns as they still feel like they can win. After all, they have Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt for running backs, plus Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones at receiver.
On the defensive side of the ball, they have one of the best pass rushers in the NFL in Myles Garrett.
Cleveland would have to fit Ryan’s massive salary under its cap, but it can cross that bridge if it comes to it.
