The Miami Dolphins had to do a lot of cap maneuvering in order to bring Tyreek Hill into the fold with a new contract. One Dolphins cornerback who “contributed” had a pretty funny tweet in response.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Dolphins cornerback Byron Jones “complained” about restructuring his contract to bring Hill into the fold. He didn’t seem to like the idea of Hill burning him in practice every day.
“Me restructuring my contract just to have Tyreek Hill burn me everyday in practice,” Jones wrote, adding a pair of clown emojis.
Jones’ tweet has gone viral with over 28,000 likes and 3,000 retweets in just over an hour. Hill himself weighed in, replying to Jones with an “unamused” emoji.

Some of the other comments on Byron Jones’ tweet are pretty funny too:
“Love tweets like this,” NFL analyst Ross Tucker wrote.
“Elite tweet hahaha Our DBs are already so good but they gonna be even better on game day thanks to this,” wrote a fan.
“And with that Byron became a fan favorite. Cap space and a pithy tweet. Touche,” another wrote.
The Dolphins have a roster that’s gone 19-14 over two seasons but narrowly missed the playoffs twice.
Now that Tyreek Hill and his big personality are in South Beach, practices with the Miami Dolphins are going to be very interesting in the 2022 NFL season.
