It’s been over 25 years since the Dallas Cowboys last went to the Super Bowl, let alone won one. But Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had just two words for someone asking him about taking America’s Team to the big game.
Prescott was in attendance at the ribbon-cutting for a restaurant in Texas this week. During the event, a kid in the crowd yelled, “Dak, we’re winning the Super Bowl this year!”
Without missing a beat, the Cowboys quarterback fired back with the answer every Cowboys fan wanted to hear. “Damn right,” he said back.
Prescott may have accidentally had his Joe Namath Super Bowl guarantee moment. But now he it’s on him to follow through with that lofty goal.

Dak Prescott is coming off a superb season with the Cowboys that saw him set a franchise record for touchdown passes. He went 11-5 as a starter as the Cowboys won the NFC East.
But the Cowboys were swiftly eliminated by the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round. Their multi-decade streak of failing to even reach the NFC Championship Game continues as a result.
The Cowboys have spent this offseason making some major tweaks to their team. They’ve lot a number of vital players in an effort to gain some extra cap space.
But as the leader of the Cowboys, it’s on Dak Prescott to ensure that the sacrifices aren’t for naught.
