Over the years, Colin Cowherd has made it clear he loves USC and thinks college football is better off when the Trojans are successful.
Cowherd has been incredibly fired up about the direction of the USC program since it hired Lincoln Riley last November, and as we know, Cowherd isn’t above doing some trolling on his show or on social media.
That’s what he seemed to be aiming for with his tweet this afternoon regarding USC’s first spring practice of the Riley era.
“Sources tell me [Lincoln Riley’s] first USC practice was flawless,” Cowherd wrote. “One observer noted “Some are calling it the greatest practice ever on a college campus.”

Of course Colin is just having a little fun here, but he’s bullish on Riley’s future with the Trojans.
Last week, he used the start of March Madness to reveal a bold prediction about when USC will have its first chance at a national championship under its new head coach.
“USC meets Miami in round one,” Cowherd said. “Also going to meet in three years for the college football Natty.”
In general, the buzz surrounding Riley at USC is strong. ESPN has already announced it will broadcast the program’s annual spring game on April 23.
Riley’s first actual game with the Trojans will take place at home against Rice on September 3.
