As onlookers continue to wonder about a Kyler Murray trade, anyone who can make it happen continues to say it won’t.
According to The Arizona Republic‘s Kent Somers, Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill emphatically shut down trade chatter surrounding the 24-year-old quarterback.
“Yea, that’s not happening,” Bidwill said. “There’s just too much outside noise that people listen to. We understand that’s just part of what goes on these days with social media. It’s just not the case.”

Cardinals general manager Steve Keim concurred, saying there’s “zero chance” of Murray getting traded during his pre-draft press conference. Meanwhile, Murray appeared to confirm that sentiment when responding to Ian Rapoport’s Twitter post.

The quarterback also called Arizona “home” and said his goal remains to win championships for the Cardinals.

In summary, Arizona’s owner and general manager say they won’t trade Murray, who said he doesn’t want to play somewhere else. Everyone is at least publicly on the same page.
That should quell all speculation for the foreseeable future, but a strange NFL offseason has everyone on high alert.
