Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel announced on Sunday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Vrabel is currently in quarantine. He will be tested again on Monday.
“What it comes down to is you have to have two negative tests within a 48-hour period,” Vrabel said. “If that happens then I can get back into the building. If not, I’ll have to wait 10 days.”
Vrabel and the Titans are coming off a week of joint practices with the Titans. The former New England Patriots star turned NFL head coach spent some time with his former teammates, Tom Brady.
ESPN NFL insider Jenna Laine shared a photo of Vrabel and Brady talking close to each other. Naturally, with Vrabel testing positive, it’s fair to worry about Brady’s status.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has said that his roster would be close to 100 percent vaccinated prior to Week 1.
Mike Vrabel also spent time sitting with Bruce Arians in Arians’ golf cart. Coaches and players are required to wear contact chips that track each move and contact tracing determines those who have been in close proximity and for how long.
