Indianapolis is typically Big Ten country, but the city is getting an SEC takeover ahead of tomorrow night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
Alabama and Georgia will meet at Lucas Oil Stadium tomorrow night to decide the national title. It will be the second time in five years these two SEC programs have played in the final.
Any Big Ten fans who have traveled the roads around Indianapolis this week have seen the ESPN SEC Network billboard welcoming them to “Indianapoli-SEC.” This is something you’re not used to seeing in any of the states that comprise the nation’s heartland.
Fortunately, this is only a temporary thing, so any Big Ten loyalists who find themselves cringing at the advertisement won’t have to deal with it much longer.
It’s nice to be in Indianapoli-SEC with our @SECNetwork friends. Dress warm and enjoy the football! #ItJustMeansMore #CFBPlayoff pic.twitter.com/ENQQm7sQm4

The Bulldogs are looking for their first national title since 1980, while ‘Bama is going for back-to-back titles and three championships in five seasons.
