Talk about insult to injury. Ahead of the Jaguars game against the Colts on Sunday, a banner was flown over the field that essentially sums up the state of the franchise right now.
“#KlownTown.”

Coming into the season, Jaguars fans and NFL fans alike were excited for a new era of football in Jacksonville. Can’t-miss No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence, paired with legendary college football coach Urban Meyer, what could go wrong?
Seemingly everything.
Meyer lasted just 13 games in the NFL before being getting the axe amid a host of storylines that somehow made the Jaguars’ 2-11 record look worse.

Meanwhile, the team’s franchise-saving rookie QB has struggled in his first season adjusting to the pros. The Clemson product is nowhere near the Rookie of the Year discussion, and has experienced a number of growing pains over his first 16 games.
That said, the future still appears bright for Lawrence, who’s shown flashes of what made him the no doubt top overall pick. And in fairness to him, who would be successful in this kind of chaos?
The Jaguars have a chance to potentially spoil an AFC South rival’s season if they can somehow beat the Colts. An Indianapolis loss paired with a Steelers win would bounce Frank Reich’s team out of the playoff picture.
