April 3, 2022 by The Spun

NCAA Tournament Final Four

New Orleans was expecting a packed house for the historic Duke-UNC Final Four matchup.

And they got it.

On Saturday night, NCAA Director of Media Coordination David Worlock shared the first half attendance via his Twitter account. According to his numbers, 70,602 fans filed in for what could very well be Coach K’s last game.

Tonight’s Final Four attendance is 70,602.

The college hoops world reacted to the tens of thousands on-hand in NOLA.

“That’s a lot of folks in a basketball gym,” remarked sports columnist Scott Rabalais. “It’s been a great atmosphere.”
