The playoff fields for both conferences in the NBA are already set, so there’s not much more for teams to play for, right?
Wrong. On Thursday night, two teams from the Eastern Conference made it clear they plan to compete until the season officially comes to an end.
The Charlotte Hornets locked up the final playoff spot in the conference, but are trying to make a move over the Atlanta Hawks. Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic won’t be in the playoffs and could finish with the league’s worst record.
Perhaps the losing had something to do with why the Magic were trending on Thursday night. In the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game between the two, a scuffle broke out with plenty of pushing and shoving.
Here’s the fracas.
