ESPN college football analyst Lee Corso has returned to the College GameDay set for the 2021 season. Before the show went on air this Saturday, he revealed his picks for the College Football Playoff.
Corso told Kirk Herbstreit that he has Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma making the playoff. It’s a bit shocking to see Alabama left out of his field of four, but he explained on College GameDay that history is not on the Crimson Tide’s side.
In addition to making his picks for the playoff, Corso revealed which team will come out on top this season. College football fans probably won’t agree with him, but Corso is siding with the Bulldogs.
“They haven’t won the national championship in 41 years, 41 years,” Corso said in a video that Herbstreit shared on social media. “It’s time for them. Go dawgs!”

Georgia has been knocking on the door of a national championship for several years. Maybe this is the year that Kirby Smart’s squad gets the job done.
On paper, the Bulldogs have all the components of a championship team. Their main issue is they’ve been unable to dethrone the Crimson Tide when it really matters.
This year’s schedule won’t do Georgia any favors, though, as it starts the 2021 season against Clemson. Perhaps that matchup will be a playoff preview.
