Many football analysts don’t seem to be putting much stock into the suggestion that defenses could “figure out” Lamar Jackson this season.
It sounds like Jackson isn’t either. The fourth-year quarterback was asked this morning about the recent conversation about teams reportedly solving how to defend him.

It seems like we have this conversation about Jackson being “figured out” once a year or so. It came up again because of some comments made by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler last week.
“There are a lot of people around the league that I speak to … they say this might be the year that everybody figures out Lamar Jackson,” Fowler said on Get Up!.
As we said at the time, Jackson can stand to continue improving as a passer, and we have seen teams make it challenging for him in the playoffs when he can’t rely on his running game. But we’re still talking about a guy who is electrifying with the ball in his hands and has thrown for 68 touchdowns and 7,085 yards while completing 64% of his passes as a pro.
It seems impossible to be able to figure that player out enough to render him ineffective as an NFL quarterback.
