Tuesday night could be the night where the Los Angeles Lakers get eliminated from playoff contention.
Right now, the Lakers are still alive for the play-in tournament but their odds of getting in have slipped due to their dip in play.
Los Angeles has been in a position to make the tournament for most of the season before slipping down the stretch.
If the Lakers lose to the Phoenix Suns tonight, plus the San Antonio Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets, they’ll be out of the playoff picture.

If the Lakers do miss out on the playoffs, they would likely make several changes going into next season, one of which could be firing head coach Frank Vogel.
This was a team that was picked by many pundits to not only make the playoffs but to win it all.
Tip-off for Lakers-Suns will be at 10:30 p.m. ET. The Spurs-Nuggets contest will kick off at 9 p.m. ET.
