Nets guard Kyrie Irving didn’t hold back when he was asked about his former team on Sunday evening.
Irving played for the Celtics in 2017 and 2018 but wasn’t embraced that well by the fanbase. The feeling seems to be mutual after he was seen giving Celtics fans the bird after making a shot in the second half.
“The same energy they have for me, I’m gonna have the same energy for them,” Irving said. “And it’s not every fan…but when people start yelling, p*ssy, b*tch and f*ck you, there’s but so much you can take as a competitor.”

Irving put together one heck of a performance for the Nets, despite them dropping Game One. He finished with 39 points, five rebounds, and six assists while shooting 12-of-20 from the field.
It didn’t take long for the NBA world to give their input on Irving’s comments.
