With the college football season just a day away, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit has revealed which marquee matchup he has circled on his calendar.
It turns out Herbstreit is anxiously waiting for Oct. 9 so he can watch Alabama take on Texas A&M at Kyle Field. Last year, the Crimson Tide dismantled the Aggies in Tuscaloosa.
This game was already going to be must-see TV because of all the talent that Alabama and Texas A&M have on their respective rosters. But then we need to factor in the controversial remarks that Jimbo Fisher made earlier this year.
During an appearance at the Houston Touchdown Club, Fisher said, “We’re going to beat his [Saban] a** when he’s there, don’t worry,” when asked about potentially dethroning Alabama in the SEC.
The game @KirkHerbstreit is most looking forward to this season … Bama vs. Texas A&M.

Believe it or not, Fisher doubled down on that comment shortly after it was made.
“Heck yes I think we’re going to beat them,” Fisher said. “That’s why we’re here. They’re the standard right now, but we have to learn to beat them.”
If the Aggies are unable to defeat the Crimson Tide this fall, college football fans will revisit these comments from Fisher.
Who do you think will win this matchup: Alabama or Texas A&M?
