Kansas City Chiefs May Have Found Their Tyreek Hill Replacement

April 30, 2022 by The Spun

Patrick Mahomes celebrates with Tyreek Hill.

With Tyreek Hill no longer on the roster, the Kansas City Chiefs have decided to spend a Day 2 pick on a wide receiver.

Moments ago, the Chiefs selected Western Michigan wide receiver Skyy Moore with the 54th pick in the draft.

Moore had an outstanding 2021 season at Western Michigan, hauling in 95 passes for 1,292 yards and 10 touchdowns. He helped out his draft stock with a strong showing at the NFL Combine.

Not only did Moore run a 4.41 in the 40-yard dash, he posted a 34.5-inch vertical.

It’s unclear what Moore’s role will look like this fall in Kansas City, but there’s a chance he could eventually take over as the No. 1 wide receiver on the depth chart. At the very least, he’s a strong fit in Andy Reid’s system.

“If there was ever a match made in draft heaven in Round 2 it’s Skyy Moore to Chiefs w Big Andy and Patrick Mahomes,” FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer tweeted.

The Chiefs already have proven playmakers in JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, but it doesn’t hurt to add Moore to the mix.

Chiefs fans, are you confident Moore can eventually become a Pro Bowl wide receiver?
